How to transition from school or training to NHSC service

National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Scholarship Program scholars and Students to Service Loan Repayment Program (S2S LRP) participants must:

  • Begin employment within (6) months from graduation or end of training at a National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site with a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) score that meets your service obligation by program and discipline.
  • Follow the NHSC Transition to Service step-by-step guidance to successfully conduct your employment search and comply with all program requirements.
