The National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program is Accepting Applications!

Loaded down with tuition costs? Unload your burden with a National Health Service Corps (NHSC) scholarship – we’ve got you covered. The NHSC Scholarship Program awards scholarships to health professions students pursuing a primary care career without the burden of overwhelming financial debt.

Medical, dental, nursing, and physician assistant students can receive a one-year scholarship. In return, they agree to work for at least two years in a community that needs health care professionals. They may choose to receive additional scholarships and extend their service commitment.

An NHSC scholarship includes:

Payment of tuition and eligible fees (tax-free)
An annual payment for other reasonable educational costs (tax-free)
Monthly stipends to assist with living expenses (taxable)

The deadline to apply is Thursday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. ET. The National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program is highly competitive, apply early.

The NHSC Scholarship Program is a federal program administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration.
