Each fact sheet provides details about:
- The disciplines eligible for the program
- The required service commitment for participants
- The types of health care sites where participants may serve

The NHSC Scholarship Program provides up to four years of financial support to students pursuing a career in primary health care. Funding covers tuition, fees, other reasonable costs, and a monthly stipend in exchange for their service at an underserved community.

Provides up to $120,000 to medical, dental, nursing and physician assistant students in their final year of school in exchange for their service in an underserved community. In 2024, we introduced a $40,000 Maternity Care Target Area (MCTA) supplement to students who commit to service as maternity care providers (OB/GYNs, physicians who regularly provide maternal care, certified nurse midwives).

Provides grants to all U.S. states and territories to assist in operating their own loan repayment programs. These state programs offer loan repayment to primary care providers working in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs).
