Half-Time Loan Repayment Program
The new Half-time application cycle for Loan Repayment will open in Fall of 2010.
- FY2010 Applicants selected to participate in the program will be notified by September 30.

How to Apply
- Sign up to be notified by e-mail when the 2011 application cycle opens later this year.
- Read the 2011 Applicant and Program Guidance (available Fall 2010), which describes the program in detail and gives you all the information you need to apply to the Corps.
- Secure a job at an approved site. NHSC Job Opportunities lists half-time job vacancies eligible for NHSC loan repayment across the United States.
- If you are working at or seeking employment at a site that does not have a job vacancy on the list, see if it is an approved site and can list a vacancy. If your site isn’t on either list, find out if it may be eligible to apply.
Did You Know?
- NHSC clinicians care for millions of patients who otherwise may not be able to get needed care.
- Service to underserved communities, not the repayment of educational loans, is the primary purpose of the NHSC Loan Repayment Program.
- Most (more than 70 percent) of NHSC clinicians continue to work in underserved areas after completing their service commitment.
