Team up with the National Health Service Corps as we celebrate our third annual Corps Community Day, which will take place on Thursday, October 10, 2013, during National Primary Care Week. Corps Community Day celebrates the important work of the Corps to increase access to primary care where it is needed most.

Retention is on the rise. Corps members choose to remain in underserved communities after their service commitment has ended. Tells the whole story on retention, including results of a 2012 retention assessment survey, retention rates by discipline, factors affecting retention and NHSC efforts to support retention.

More than $19 million in funding for loan repayment was awarded to 87 medical students in 29 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, who will serve as primary care doctors and help strengthen the health care workforce.
