Six-Month In Service Verifications Go Online
On February 1, 2012, the six-month In Service Verification (ISV) mechanism used by the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) to verify provider work hours moved online through the Customer Service Portal. Both NHSC providers and corresponding sites are no longer able to submit verifications by fax and/or mail. The NHSC anticipates this will streamline the process for both providers and sites, saving time and effort.
If member providers and sites have not done so already, the most important action item at this time is to set up a Portal account to prepare for this change. Please visit the NHSC Website at www.nhsc.hrsa.gov and click the link to the Customer Service Portal at the bottom right hand side of the page to set up your Portal account.
