Virtual Job Fair

Looking to Fill Job Opportunities at Your Rural NHSC-Approved Site?

The National Health Service Corps is hosting its second Virtual Job Fair on Wednesday, June 27, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern Time. The job fair gives rurally-located NHSC-approved sites an opportunity to promote current job openings and interact with clinicians looking to serve as primary care medical providers in their communities.

Registration for sites closes May 25, 2012.

The Virtual Job Fair is limited to rurally-located NHSC-approved sites, including Critical Access Hospitals, Rural Health Clinics, and Federally Qualified Health Centers, located in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wisconsin (Regions 5, 6, and 7). The job fair will also focus on job openings for primary care medical providers (Certified Nurse-Midwives, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, and Physician Assistants). To participate, sites must:

  • Be an approved primary care NHSC site, located within the identified pilot area;
  • Be in good standing with the NHSC;
  • Be looking to fill primary care medical positions (Certified Nurse-Midwife, Nurse Practitioner, Physician, Physician Assistant) in 2012; and
  • Have access to a computer, Internet connection, and a phone line the evening of the job fair.
You must register to participate in the virtual job fair, and space is limited! To register, please email NHSCVirtualJobFair@hrsa.gov. In your email please include the following information:
  • Name the NHSC site that will participate
  • Location of your site
  • Contact name and email address for the Virtual Job Fair
  • Medical positions available at your site

Information for Interested NHSC-Approved Sites

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to promote openings at your site to primary care medical providers and students! Space is limited. If interest exceeds capacity, the NHSC will provide space to sites on a first come, first served basis but will ensure the sites participating represent a variety of geographic locations, disciplines and site types. Registration for sites closes on Friday, May 25, 2012.

Information for Primary Care Medical Providers

Looking to find a position at an NHSC-approved site? Register to participate in the Virtual Job Fair and have the opportunity to network and speak with administrators at NHSC sites looking to fill current positions, to find out what it’s like to work at an NHSC site, and to learn more about opportunities to join the NHSC and have your eligible school loans repaid! Space is limited. Registration for providers will open in early June 2012. Please check back in late May for a list of participating NHSC sites.
