Updated daily, NHSC Job Opportunities is a sure way to reach thousands of health care professionals who are actively seeking work in underserved communities — including foreign-educated and J-1 visa waiver candidates who are not eligible for the National Health Service Corps scholarship or loan repayment programs.

Ready Responders

Ready Responders are officers in the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service who provide clinical care in NHSC-approved sites and also help them develop, implement, or maintain programs such as

  • emergency preparedness and response,
  • patient education,
  • staff development,
  • development of  realistic recruitment and retention protocols, and
  • infrastructure improvement.

Ready Responders are

  • Physicians (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Psychiatry),
  • Dentists (general and pediatric),
  • Nurses (Baccalaureate and/or Master’s Prepared Registered Nurses),
  • Nurse Practitioners (Family, Geriatrics, and Pediatrics),
  • Physician Assistants,
  • Clinical Psychologists, and
  • Social Workers.
